MVA Full-Time Substitute Position

Mountain View Academy is hiring for a unique position for the remainder of
the 2024-25 school year with the possibility of continuing into the following
academic school year. This position is for a full-time substitute teacher
who will perform the duties of an aide when not teaching in the classroom.
This is a salaried position, which includes benefits. This would be the
perfect opportunity for someone who would like to transition back into the
workforce or for someone who is interested in beginning a career in
education. It could also work for someone who is taking online, evening
course toward a degree.

Requirements:

? Teaching Certificate or a Bachelor’s Degree or currently
enrolled in a program to obtain a teaching certificate.
? Monday-Thursday 7:30-3:15 attendance
? Willing to work with children, following the direction of staff
members
? Willing to work cooperatively with fellow MVA employees

Compensation:
? $32,000 annual salary, prorated through the end of the current
school year (2024-25) which is June 12, 2025
? Employee only health, vision and dental benefits

Job description:
This position requires the candidate to arrive at MVA at 7:30 each day.
The day will end at 3:15. If there is a substitute needed in any of the
classrooms PreK-8 th grade, this candidate would assume those
responsibilities. When not providing classroom coverage as a teacher, the
candidate would perform the following duties: small reading/math group,
correcting, recess supervision, Teach PE, Providing additional academic
support to students, light cleaning or other jobs needed at the school.
